OnBuy is the UK's leading alternative to Amazon & eBay. In addition to not competing with their sellers (à la Amazon), OnBuy offers very competitive fees and invests heavily in marketing to ensure your products will be found. The story of OnBuy's growth is a great one to follow by any metric, but as far as eCommerce Marketplaces are concerned, you'd be mad not to be selling on OnBuy!

Selling Options

OnBuy only allows you to sell B2C, with neither a vendor nor a B2B model.

OnBuy is not a retailer and will never stock its own items in competition with yours. OnBuy operates a catalogue system, similar to Amazon, so multiple sellers can add listings to existing products via barcode matching.

OnBuy counts SMEs to Enterprise businesses and global brands among its sellers, so you'll be in good company if you decide to start selling here.

Monthly subscription:  £19.00 (Standard) or £39.00 (Partner)
There are no listing fees. Sales Fee depending on category (5 - 9%) Payment fee (1.9 - 3.4%)

OnBuy offers sellers two account packages starting at just £19 a month with no long-term contracts, no fuss – just simple selling and, with their clear fee structure, all you'll pay is the OnBuy sales fee plus the usual PayPal transaction fee.

Payments are released instantly via PayPal. Once an item is dispatched, subject to any security checks by PayPal, the funds will land in your PayPal account ready to withdraw.

Selling Requirements

You need a business PayPal account, an established company or trading name, an inventory that you intend to sell on OnBuy, and unique barcodes for your inventory. OnBuy onboards new sellers personally - you need to fill out an easy application form, which will be reviewed by your account manager who will contact you within 1 working day.

"Working with eCommeleon helps facilitate the process of onboarding retailers as smoothly as possible, and we’re looking forward to rolling out this service to all new retailers looking to join us on our journey."
